Start with the part that settles the most common question: every Davines shampoo is sulfate-free and paraben-free. All of them, in every line. So choosing a Davines shampoo is never about finding the gentle one. It is about matching the right formula to your hair or your scalp, and this guide does exactly that, concern by concern.

Is Davines Sulfate-Free? Yes, Every Shampoo
Sulfates are the detergents behind a big, squeaky lather; sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) are the two the term usually means. They clean hard, which is why people with color-treated, rebonded, curly, or simply dry hair avoid them: a harsh cleanse strips natural oils and can fade color faster. Davines formulates all of its shampoos without sulfates and without parabens, using gentler cleansers instead. Expect a softer, creamier foam and hair that keeps more of its own moisture. That holds whether you pick a daily shampoo, a scalp treatment, or a color-enhancing shade.

For All Hair Types: OI

The OI Shampoo (280ml, ₱1,650) is the one that suits almost everyone: an ultra-hydrating, milky-smooth shampoo that gives all kinds of hair softness, shine, and body. It is enriched with Roucou oil, which helps protect hair from UV radiation and softens the strands. If you want one Davines shampoo and have no particular concern, start here. Our OI guide covers the rest of the line.
By Hair Type: The Essential Haircare Shampoos

Essential Haircare is the everyday range, with one shampoo for each hair type. If you would like the conditioners and masks matched as well, our Essential Haircare picker covers each one.
- Dry or dehydrated hair: MOMO Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). A light gel shampoo with a creamy foam that cleanses gently and delivers strong hydration.
- Bleached, rebonded, or brittle hair: NOUNOU Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). Deeply nourishing, for hair that is dry, damaged, or brittle from bleaching, heat, or chemical treatments. Its rich, full-bodied foam cleanses treated hair gently while adding body. See our NOUNOU review.
- Colored hair: MINU Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). Cleanses colored hair gently, protects cosmetic color, and keeps it shiny for longer.
- Coarse or frizzy hair: LOVE Smoothing Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). A nourishing shampoo with a soft, creamy foam that smooths frizz and makes styling easier.
- Wavy or curly hair: LOVE Curl Shampoo (₱1,550). Creamy and moisturizing, it adds elasticity and volume to waves and curls while leaving them soft and light. Not sure which LOVE is yours? Our LOVE Curl vs LOVE Smoothing guide decides it.
- Fine or limp hair: VOLU Shampoo (₱1,550). Cleanses gently and leaves hair soft and light with a lasting boost of body and volume.
- Fine hair, washed daily: DEDE Shampoo (₱1,550). A delicate daily shampoo with a soft foam that leaves hair light and shiny.
- Long or breakage-prone hair: MELU Shampoo (₱1,550). An elasticizing, anti-breakage shampoo with a soft, creamy foam that leaves hair shiny and silky.
- Product build-up: SOLU Shampoo (₱1,550). The clarifying one. Its rich, airy foam removes styling residue and leaves hair extremely clean. Use it as an occasional reset, not a daily wash.
By Scalp Concern: The NaturalTech Shampoos

NaturalTech treats the scalp first, because that is where dandruff, oiliness, sensitivity, and thinning begin. Our NaturalTech scalp guide explains how to pair them.
- Dandruff, oily or dry: Purifying Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). Soothes a dry, itchy scalp and tackles flakes without harsh chemicals. Gentle enough for sensitive scalps.
- Fragile, thinning hair: Energizing Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). Cleanses mildly while microstimulating the scalp. Our Energizing guide sets honest expectations for the full routine.
- Oily scalp: Rebalancing Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). A normalizing formula for excess sebum that keeps the scalp clean.
- Sensitive scalp: Calming Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). Cleanses gently while soothing a scalp that is sensitive, itchy, or irritated.
- Dehydrated scalp with dry, brittle hair: Nourishing Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). Deep nourishment for hair that is very dry, brittle, and hard to comb without breaking.
- Dull, stressed scalp: Detoxifying Shampoo (₱1,550). A revitalizing scrub shampoo with gentle surfactants of natural origin that cleanses the scalp deeply.
- Limp, lifeless hair: Replumping Shampoo (₱1,550). Creamy and hydrating, it adds elasticity, moisture, and volume.
- Everyday scalp care: Well-Being Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). A light, moisturizing shampoo with a rich foam that leaves all kinds of hair soft and silky. It pairs well with any NaturalTech treatment.
- Scalp and hair longevity: Renewing Shampoo (250ml, ₱1,550). A gentle daily shampoo with antioxidant-rich spinach extract and maqui berry, for softer, shinier, fuller-bodied hair.
For Colored and Blonde Hair: Alchemic and Heart of Glass

The Alchemic shampoos are color-enhancing: each enhances and intensifies a shade between salon visits, and each is enriched with vitamin B for moisture. There are six (280ml, ₱1,550 each): Silver, the purple one, for platinum and cool blondes, Golden for golden and honey blondes, Copper for copper and warm reds, Red for cool reds and pinks, Tobacco for light-to-medium browns, and Chocolate for dark brown and black. Our Alchemic shade guide helps you choose.
The Heart of Glass Silkening Shampoo (₱1,600) is different. It is the daily care shampoo for blonde hair, natural or bleached: gentle, nourishing, and lightly blue-tinted to keep blonde tones clear. Use Alchemic Silver when you need to tone, and Heart of Glass to look after blonde hair every day. If the purple-or-blue question is new to you, start with our purple vs blue shampoo guide.
How to Use a Sulfate-Free Shampoo
- Wet hair thoroughly. Gentler cleansers spread and foam better on fully soaked hair.
- Work a small amount between your palms first, then massage it into the scalp, not the lengths.
- The foam may be softer than you are used to. Less lather does not mean less clean.
- If you use a lot of styling product or wash infrequently, shampoo twice. The second wash foams more.
- Rinse well and follow with a conditioner suited to your hair.
Every Davines shampoo is sulfate-free and paraben-free, so choose by what your hair needs: OI for almost anyone, Essential Haircare by hair type, NaturalTech by scalp concern, Alchemic and Heart of Glass for color. Every one is authentic at HairMNL. Browse them in the Davines Shampoos collection. To compare with other brands, see our sulfate-free shampoo guide.
