Yes. It’s free of harsh sulfates (SLS and SLES) and parabens, and is plant-based, so it clears flakes and soothes the scalp without stripping the hair.

Davines products are formulated in line with current cosmetic standards. That said, pregnancy and breastfeeding bring significant changes to the body, so before using this — or any — product during that time, we recommend checking with your gynecologist or doctor.

How often:

I just finished my whole bottle of 1L that lasted for 6 months (me & my partner use it). I struggled a lot with scalp problem for so many years. I've tried different kinds of dandruff shampoo (trying out cheaper options) hoping it could lessen the itch and scaling but it just keeps on getting worse.
I have come across Davines several times before and saw good reviews about it, but seeing the price made me go for cheaper options (telling myself it's worth the try, it's cheap anyway) until I run out of options 😔
My scalp condition got worse and worse to a point where I developed unconscious scalp picking. Dandruffs on my chair, in my keyboard, the pillow, floor, it's everywhere. I got really conscious about it when going out so I tend to just stay home. This is when I finally decided to try Davines Purifying Shampoo. It's my last resort, MY LAST HOPE! And I'm glad I did.
I religiously used it 3 times a week (instructions says 2 times only but I'm desperate LOL) and the itch lessen after each wash. A month after use, my scalp picking is gone and scabs/wounds from scratching are almost healed as well. I am ordering my 2nd 1L bottle for maintenance (1-2 times a week). And now my scalp is thanking me everyday 😂
Notes:
- Based on my experience, the shampoo does not lather too much. I usually get small drops first and massage them over my scalp to breakdown excess oil/dirt and wash. Then I'll go for 2nd wash. I focus on massaging my scalp then just comb the lather down my hair strands.
- Do note that you may have to use conditioner after shampooing since it tends to leave your hair dry and frizzy (typical for dandruff shampoo). I use Davines Well-being conditioner, but I think any conditioner will do as long as it could detangle your hair. I apply conditioner few inches away from my scalp, and just try to detangle my hair then wash.
- It has a sulfur smell so a more pleasant smelling conditioner really helps. I also wash my hair with Davines Well-being shampoo during intervals of using the Purifying Shampoo to wash off excess smell.

I have so much dandruff and so far only this shampoo was able to eliminate it. Been using it for about 2 weeks now and my dandruff are no longer visible. It is pricey but it works. Im willing to pay.
Grateful that I trusted the brand to my scalp issue. I know that not all will get the best result in any product be it expensive or inexpensive since we have diff skin types. Luckily, Davines did not disappoint me. After using it the 2nd time, since as instructed you need to use the product twice a week. I can say, it does the job. I’ve gone through bottlessss of this. I used to try on chemical-infused anti dandruff shampoos but they burn scalp. And this? Never. And always effective. If I had gone months without it and my scalp started to itch, it’ll take 2 washes (non consecutive days) and itch drastically lessens if not stops.

I’ve suffered from dandruff since I was in my late teens. Super frustrating. Couldn’t really wear dark clothes. Fast forward to 2022, I discovered this shampoo. This is the only product that has worked for me. Been raving about it to my friends!
I think this is my 3rd bottle of this shampoo. It really does help with my dandruff. I've tried a lot of other anti-dandruff shampoo and this is the only one that removed most (if not all) of my dandruff. The only thing I don't like about it is it's not very bubbly/sudsy. If you have oily hair or you don't wash your hair regularly, I recommend double cleansing. It also leaves my hair squeaky clean and a bit dry after so using a conditioner is a MUST. This also smells like a medicated shampoo, so that's something to consider if you're particular about scents. But overall, this was my last resort shampoo to treat my dandruff and I'm so glad it worked!
let me get the cons out of the way:
1 - the price can indeed be steep, as 750 for 100ml is expensive, compared to regular shampoos out there.
2 - the medicinal smell can be a bit intense and it does linger on the scalp for at least a day.
3 - the packaging is sturdy, but given the product's texture, the last few uses would probably be challenging. i feel like this would work better with a pump or a toothpaste-like packaging so you can squeeze out the rest.
now that that's out of the way: this product is heaven-sent. it works extremely well, and you could see the results from first use. i've used it 4x over the past 2 weeks (following the 2x weekly intensive schedule) and i've never had to see any flaking or feel any itching again.
first wash gets rid of roughly half the flakes, while second & third handles the rest. it does make your hair feel a bit stiff during the first two uses, but the stiffness goes away without further intervention.
definitely a product i would recommend to anyone having any issues with dandruffs, flakes and itchy scalp. i'd rate it 100000 stars if i could!
I've spent a lot of money buying treatment for my dry itchy and super duper flaky scalp to no avail. I was already traumatized by the expensive products I've bought even when I was in Europe. But this shampoo and conditioner I bought from HairMNL is worthit. I only used it thrice but my itchyness and flaky scalp are gone now. My advise is that, use the Davine's Purifying Shampoo and use the conditioner (forgot the name but it's a product of HairMNL too) then rinse it THOUROUGHLY. Then use blower to dry your hair. I would buy this again when it runs out.
