Meet Isabel Cortez - a veteran in the professional hair care industry with 14 years of experience tucked under her belt.
Isabel will be joining the team of educators at HairMNL Academy Workshops by MUD Studio x HairMNL. A highly experienced hair professional, her impressive background includes being trained by Matthew Foster from Vidal Sassoon for hair cutting, serving as an educator in a reputable chain salon, and co-founding her own salon in Pampanga with her husband. She has also received certifications from Lakme, EdwardsAndCo, Erik Lander Education, and more.
Isabel discovered her passion for hairstyling during her elementary school years. Little did she know that her childhood daydreams would lead her to a successful career in hair. Her experience in the salon industry is a testament to the power of passion, determination, and unwavering dedication to her craft.
Her Teaching Philosophy
Isabel’s expertise lies in Hair Cutting, Hair Coloring, and Balayage. While she is highly skilled in the technical aspects of hair, her philosophy goes beyond professional techniques. She also teaches the invaluable lessons of accepting failure and using them as a springboard for personal and professional growth.
She holds on to a specific mantra, “Learning is a process towards success,” which is her guiding light, encouraging her to embrace every experience, learn from every setback, and even extend her knowledge and experience to her fellow hairstylists or aspiring ones.
Her dedication to personal growth drives her to constantly learn alongside her students, reflecting her lifelong passion for the hairdressing industry.
