Created to complement the first three from the line, Olaplex No.4, No.5, and No.6 is a safe-for-daily-use shampoo, conditioner, and styling product for severely sensitized hair. Simply put, if you have damaged hair from bleaching, straightening, and even daily abuse, and have wisely decided to have an Olaplex in-salon treatment, then this shampoo and conditioner will help continue its reparative benefits.
So what’s in it? The product maintains the active ingredient Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate that is exclusive to Olaplex. Along with its patented technology, it helps repair broken disulphide bonds in your hair. Disulphide bonds give your hair its elasticity and strength, and when damaged can make them prone to breakage.
The Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo ₱ 2,300 is a highly moisturizing cleanser that leaves hair healthier-looking and shinier. It’s sulfate-free and color-safe which makes it great for color-treated hair. Infused with coconut extracts and glycerine, the gentle shampoo helps to hydrate dry and chemically-processed hair. While the sunflower seed oil already conditions and helps retain moisture in the hair follicle as well as retain color vibrancy. Just for good measure, it also has Apricot kernel oil, rich in vitamins A and E and Omegas 6 and 9.

The Olaplex No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner ₱ 2,300 is a reparative formula that is also color-safe and helps to eliminate damage and frizz. Packed with antioxidants like acai berry it promotes healthy-looking hair with shine and body. A vitamin boost for your hair, it contains Omega-3, 6 and 9, plus vitamins A, C, E, and B which help to promote scalp health. As for volume, Olaplex No.5’s fermented green tea oil helps to add volume, strength, and shine, while it’s low pH level closes the cuticle helping it to lie flat, eliminating frizz without weighing your hair down.
The Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother, ₱ 2,300 is a styling cream meant to be applied on mid-lengths and ends. A little goes a long way with this product as it provides smoothness and protection of up to 72 hours, although you are certainly welcome to use it daily. It is able to provide some heat protection (although not up to 200 C), it helps speed up blowdrying by eliminating frizz.
But can you use it even if you didn’t have an Olaplex treatment? Certainly, although the effects would not be fully realized as compared with using the complete line, these are one of the most hydrating damage repair shampoo, conditioner, and styling products available today.
