1) Use the right hair care products for your hair.
In prolonging your hair color’s vibrancy, it’s important to use shampoo and conditioner that are formulated or safe for your color-treated hair. 2) Wash your hair less often.
Just as how excessive washing can strip away natural oil and moisture, it can also fade your hair’s color quicker. Try to extend the period you don’t wash your locks to help prolong the color. In between your wash days, you may opt to use a dry shampoo to help your tresses feel fresh and clean.
3) Avoid heat styling.
Heat styling can fade your hair color quickly, especially if done regularly. Heat opens up the cuticle or outer layer of the hair and damages it, causing the color to fade. That’s why if you can’t avoid heat styling, we recommend using a heat protectant or lower the temperature.
